Seyed Yahya Shirazi is an Assistant Project Scientist at the Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience, Institute for Neural Computation, University of California San Diego. He directs the Noninvasive Neuroengineering (NINE) Laboratory, which focuses on advancing our understanding of brain dynamics through innovative engineering approaches.

His research encompasses EEG source imaging methods, neuroinformatics infrastructure development, neural control of movement, and biomechanics. The lab pioneers Mobile Brain Body Imaging (MoBI) techniques to study brain dynamics in naturalistic environments and champions Open Science practices to accelerate neuroscience discovery through collaborative, transparent research methodologies.
